Ferguson

The downfall of this country is never respecting what is right. Instead they choose to cover up the wrong with a bunch of loopholes to make it sound like the country is doing its best to keep order and maintain the control of the people, instead of keeping order and control over the police, the real villains. While many people can agree that not all police are bad, it’s in everyones best interest to label them the way they have labeled black people and profiled them all their lives. I don’t see anything wrong with that except I also hate when people generalize a group of people for the actions of a few or one for that matter and we were all born and taught to do that. I guess life will always be confusing, we learn from the people around us from the day we’re born, parents, teachers, and what did they learn from? It’s all just outdated thoughts that are crammed into our innocent minds as children. Then growing up becomes confusing. Why do we hate those people we’re told to hate? We have to learn for ourselves as we get older– we’re put through challenges that break barriers between families and even beyond that, maybe that’s why everyone is so fucked up? I think the real meaning of life is to co-exist, but everyone has been branded already.

Power is addicting (See: Stanford Prison Experiment) and there are many who choose to abuse it. Police are given a gun and a badge and then told to go play outside. We’re human beings, you can’t just be trained to potentially kill someone and be okay with that, right? It’s like being assigned to population control. That’s the other problem, is just access to weapons in general and the violence that thrives from it.

When will the people of the United States have the power and freedom we were promised? Fear is such a dynamic innate emotion that it’s the first thing we experience coming into this world. I feel like fear became the lottery ticket for people who crave power and status and money is power, hence the media and politicians. They, the government and media, know that opinions can form within seconds and they choose to manipulate us with these mind-control tactics that we aren’t even aware of (TV, print, social media). They thrive from our curiosity.

Education isn’t what I once thought it was, at least in our earliest years, the years that matter. We’re all victims of intellectual robbery, and guess whose to blame. What we learned in history class in 5th grade, telling us why our country is number one, standing up and saluting a flag, reciting American witchcraft… Why do you think we stop doing that as we get older— right, because we start forming our own minds, at least most of us. But for the other flag-waving partisans the idea of America sticks with them, because that’s just how the science of learning goes.

I knew that the Grand Jury Decision was going to be in favor of Wilson as soon as McCullough opened his mouth and wanted to “first and foremost” apologize to the Brown family for their loss… A long speech meant they needed to keep telling America WHY the decision that THEY made was the right one, and the longer he spoke the more he was just covering their asses. We ALL knew what the right decision was this whole time. AMERICA IS NOT WHAT IT SAID IT WOULD BE, they just pretend to be and they would protect one man over millions of voices. Are we not loud enough America?

R.I.P Michael Brown, you started a movement.

Sexuality… Innate?

According to a recent study done by the NorthShore Research Institute, a clear link between two specific areas of the human genome and male homosexuality.  Blood and saliva samples were taken from 409 pairs of gay brothers which was then analyzed for genetic markers known as single nucleotide polymorphisms, or SNP’s.

“They found that the genetic regions Xq28, first identified in 1993 as being associated with homosexuality, and 8q12, spotted in 2005, were shared by the brothers.” I wonder if “q” stands for queer? Probably not.

Scientist believe that this study can prove that sexuality really is innate and not something someone chooses.

I believe in sexual fluidity and I think society plays a huge role in everything we do and won’t just be replaced because for years we were misled by outdated religious beliefs. I think this study can really prove something that religion cannot and educate a lot of religious partisans or homophobes. Regardless I can’t believe human sexuality is such a debated topic, it pisses me off. I don’t walk around wondering who’s sleeping with who and what they do and who even needs to think further than that?

Sexuality confuses me.

Top 5 Music Websites I use to download music illegally, but it’s FREE!

So since it’s Trick-Or-Treat time, I figured I’d give a treat. This is life changing guys. Since I was little, music has always been an escape from reality, as it probably is for everyone. For me music has always been way more than what was on the radio, I loved using “LimeWire” and finding all different kinds of music that I can connect and relate to.

Today, downloading music illegally has become more and more accessible and while I do still purchase my favorite artists’ albums, I download illegal music probably daily. My family and friends would always ask me “Didn’t you show me this song like 5 months ago?” and it is all true. Through these websites and a few old ones that no longer exist, I was always able to stay ahead of the music trends and discovered new artists before they even hit radio. My friends would beg and beg and beg for the websites I use, and while it’s relatively easy to find music the way I do, I would never give it to them because I’m an asshole and would make it sound impossible, discouraging them from ever being the music guru that I still am today. *evil laugh*

Use them wisely and turn on pop-up blocker:

http://www.viperial.com — this is my angel, heaven sent from the music Gods above playing Lana Del Rey on their harps, this website has been around for a long time, and I’ve been using it for a long time… it lists the songs, tells you how many people are downloading it by a “hot level rating system” and if a song/album has leaked, it’s more than likely going to be on this website.

http://www.josepvinaixa.com/blog/ — this has to be my favorite one, just because of the website layout and the how organized he keeps his blog, they’re also usually ahead of the curve and keeps you updated on all music news really, not just downloads

http://rnbxclusive.se — an oldie but a goodie, if I can’t find something anywhere, this website usually does the trick, a lot more RnB music (clearly) but

http://www.topitunes.net — I kind of recently discovered this one, but they had the T-Swift album before T-Swift even knew she had an album coming out.

http://jonalisblog.com — he has great dance playlists that come out every season (he will find the best dance remixes to Top 40 and beyond the Top 40 and put it all on one playlist for an easy convenient download)

Conspiracies: Russell Brand Edition

Everyone’s usually into them or curious, at least I am. I think conspiracies are smart ways people can think outside the box about an event that occurred, but not through the eyes of the government and media which can control the way we see things and form our opinion for us, without actually forming our own opinion. That being said, Russell Brand is being blasted by social media, regarding his 9/11 conspiracy in his new book Revolution.

1382647436313431

On his most recent interview with BBC News, Brand is quoted saying:

  • “I think it is interesting at this time when we have so little trust in our political figures, where ordinary people have so little trust in their media, we have to remain open-minded to any kind of possibility.”
  • “Do you trust the American government? Do you trust the British government? What I do think is very interesting is the relationship that the Bush family have had for a long time with the Bin Laden family.”
  • “What I do think is very interesting is the way that even the BBC report the events in Ottawa to subtly build an anti-Islamic narrative. I think that’s very interesting.”

Here’s the video below:

What’s interesting is this isn’t the first time I think any one has heard about the 9/11 conspiracy theories. Ive heard Sandy Hook theories, and watched enough Youtube videos to somewhat alter my train of thought. There’s a lot of wow factors that make you wonder, maybe I’m dumb, but maybe I’m not… and a 50% chance of being right or wrong is enough to drive anyone crazy.

Hunted: The War Against Gays in Russia

Last night HBO aired its new documentary, Hunted: The War Against Gays in Russia. Matt Bomer, of The Normal Heart narrates this disturbing documentary and I recommend watching it for insight, other than that I wouldn’t really recommend it to anyone.

Russian gang “Operation Pedophilia”– they associate any homosexuals with pedophilia– would voluntarily with big smiles on their faces, go outside and target their next homosexual victims. They spend hours, waiting for a lead on a new gay they can bring home and torture. The gang targeted gays using the internet, where most gay people in Russia thought they felt safe. They intimidated people in the street, luring them in to their meeting place, once there, a group of men would surround one poor soul, taunting him, pissing on him, punching him in the head, calling him faggot, telling him he’s going to go to hell and he doesn’t deserve to be here.

“We’ll destroy his life as usual” the leader said.

Katya taunts a former victim leaving court, after one of her gang members was able to get out with no sentencing.

She was a woman named Katya and if she ever came here to America, I’d gladly go to jail for my repercussions. In one scene she even told the victim “You’re lucky there is journalists here, but… not for long,” she laughed. These are the jobs people have, the hobbies, they make it apart of their DAY-TO-FUCKING-DAY basis. I couldn’t even imagine living in a place like that.

I wasn’t truly prepared to understand the world in this way. I couldn’t believe this is still going on, I mean I knew it was bad in most countries but I guess with the unusual access that the cameramen had, and how they were able to film scenes so raw to the Russian groups nature, it was just really hard. I can truly appreciate living in America now.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This is a personal post, having lost my mother to breast cancer when she was only 34, I want to raise awareness on campus, not sure who runs that department but I’d like to get involved anyway I can. Both men and women can be affected and diagnosed with breast cancer, and so more word can equal more precautions and early detection is crucial.

Making Strides

Sunday October 19th, 2014 is the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at Clove Lakes Park in Staten Island, New York. There’s a map below with exact location and address.

This Week’s Weak Sauce: Fox News & Sexism At Its Finest

Everyone knows how pathetic Fox News really is and now we get the chance to bash on them even more, fun.

These are the ingredients:

Major Mariam Al Mansouri is the first ever female pilot in the United Arab Embassy. Al Mansouri led the UAE strikes against ISIS, the Islamic state of Iraq and Syria, and is said to be leading future strikes.

After receiving some praising comments from Fox Five News panelist Kimberly Guilfoyle, who was happy to see women performing in equal opportunities even if it wasn’t an American woman, her co-panelists decided they wanted to have their say on the story, problem is they’re assholes with mindless commentary, who really don’t deserve television exposure.

“The problem is, after she bombed it, she couldn’t park it,” said
Greg Gutfeld, self described libertarian.

Eric Bolling also adding, “Would that be considered boobs on the ground, or no?”

Boobs on the ground?! Really? I’m sorry but what was necessary about that? What compels someone to make comments like that on national television, exploiting a woman for being a woman with breasts, who clearly has more balls than both those ancient minded mummies. It is really disgraceful to see a country with so much promise to constantly be in a state of inconsistency, I guess everyone these days has an outlet to say what they have to say and feel, and we the people just have to filter out those who are evolved and those who aren’t.

I think most of us share the same reaction as Kimberly Guilfoyle after she was heard saying:

“Why did they have to ruin my thing?”

Kimberly Guilfoyle

Kimberly Guilfoyle not having it.

Congratulations to the sexist assholes over at The Fox Five team, you are Ragu, weak sauce.

This Week’s Weaksauce: Adrian Peterson

Is professional NFL player Adrian Peterson a serial child abuser or just a strict parent?

The debate about disciplining your child with physical action is one that will be talked about year after year. Parents declare that spanking is necessary in teaching your child to respect their elders and to teach them discipline, under the impression that after inflicting pain, the child will learn to stop the behavior that caused the spanking in the first place. But what if the child doesn’t stop (and as children, they usually don’t), does the parent continue to

We all heard this week about the 29 year-old Minnesota Vikings running back reportedly used a tree branch to hit his 4-year old son, leaving a mark on his body, only to divulge that lightning struck the same place twice, Peterson having already been indicted for “abusing” his other 4-year old son.

I can see where he is coming from, but don’t agree at all. To this day I still get nervous when I have to talk to my dad, I think 98% of everyone that knows him is scared of him, but I know at the end of the day he loves me, takes care of me and supports me. I’ve gotten the wooden spoon, the belt, the good ol’ hand etc., and while I may be a strong person my relationship with my father isn’t as strong as it should be today; he considers himself a “strict” parent.

It’s not so much the mindset that you pass on generation to generation, but the way you are raised is connected to how you will raise your own. The goal as a parent is to be better, bring up better, teach better. Sure, Peterson stated the discipline he received as a child  made him become successful and we are supposed to look at the position he’s in now, with a successful career, and granted you can have all of that, just don’t leave marks on your children’s bodies, simple as that. They are susceptible to any and all damage, and as children you are not only leaving a physical mark, but an emotional one that will scar them in the long run. STOP CHILD ABUSE and end inherited discipline!

Congratulations Adrian Peterson, today, you get some Ragu because you are WEAKSAUCE. *snaps fingers*

R.I.P Joan Rivers

The infamous and unapologetic comedian, Joan Rivers, past away last Thursday, September 4th, at 81 years old, after under-going vocal cord surgery that led to complications resulting in her fatal cardiac and respiratory arrest.

Her funeral was held today, September 7th, at Temple Emanu-El in New York City, boasting a numerous amount of celebrity guests and fans just outside, which is exactly what Joan wished for when it was her time to leave this world.

There has been a lot of hate and people praising the death of Joan Rivers, stating that she was a horrible human being that got what she deserved etc. These are people I call boring.

Personally,I believe Joan was a huge inspiration and opened doors for many women in the entertainment industry. Her jokes may have been harsh, but it was all in good fun and what most people don’t understand is that comedy was her way of harshly criticizing the world in which we all secretly loathe.
